A welcome thaw has seen the snow and ice recede in several areas of the county, but Denbighshire council is urging drivers and pedestrians to remain cautious as there are still patches of ice and snow – and in some case, black ice, on the roads and pavements.
The Council has operatives working in a number of locations to deal with residual snow and ice, but efforts are being hampered by the ongoing lack of salt deliveries.
Denbighshire’s Director of Environment, Iwan Prys-Jones, said: “While temperature are rising slowly, ground temperatures remain very low, and, ice and snow still remains in some areas. I strongly urge people to continue to take extra care when out and about as some areas are still proving quite treacherous.”
