Tomorrow (Friday 4 December) the Chair of Denbighshire County Council, Joan Butterfield and Assembly Member Ann Jones will officially open the recently upgraded network of Bridleways adjacent to St Asaph Business Park.
The project has been undertaken by Denbighshire County Council’s Countryside and Rights of Way Sections. It has been funded by the Welsh Assembly Government through its Rights of Way Improvement Programme (ROWIP)
A circular route around the Business Park has been created that people can now enjoy during their lunchtimes instead of sticking just to the pavements! This can improve people’s health and well being, as it is recommended that people undertake exercise 5 days a week for 30 minutes.
This access route has been resurfaced and what was a boggy overgrown route is now a resurfaced route which has been opened up to allow for multi user access. The project undertook to protect the wildlife that lives in this area by daily inspections for Great Crested Newts and the creation of a new breeding pond for them.
