A man is currently in police custody following an incident involving an alleged use of a firearm at an address in Abergele.
At 22:14 last night (Sunday, 27th June) North Wales Police were called to a property on Llwyn Morfa where a man was believed to be in possession of a firearm.
Armed officers, police negotiators and other emergency services attended.
Shortly before 5am this morning (Monday, 28th June) the matter was brought to a successful conclusion after the man, who was alone inside the property, surrendered to police.
The 46–year-old has been arrested and is currently in police custody.
Superintendent Frazer Jones from North Wales Police said: “Thankfully the matter was resolved and nobody was injured. At no time were members of the public put in any danger and trained officers and staff were able to ensure a safe conclusion to this incident.”
