Update regarding the incident at Barcdy Campsite in Talsarnau, Gwynedd whereby a young boy was grabbed from behind by a stranger during the evening of Friday 21st August:
North Wales Police can confirm that a 29-year-old man was arrested yesterday (Sunday 23rd August) in connection with the incident and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses and in particular, are appealing to anyone who may have been staying at the campsite to contact officers at Porthmadog CID on 0845 607 1001 (Welsh line) 0845 607 1002 (English line) or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
