Local people who enjoy writing short stories and poetry have contributed to Rhondda Cynon Taf Libraries’ 2010 anthology, entitled Inspirations.
The Libraries Service invited people who work, live or study in Rhondda Cynon Taf to submit stories or poems for inclusion in the 2010 collection and an editorial team selected the writing which has been included.
A separate, smaller anthology has also been produced this year to commemorate the Tonypandy Riots of 1910, featuring the writing of local people. Both collections were launched at Beddau and Tynant Library, Aberdare Library and Treorchy Library and are now available at all local libraries.
Cllr Robert Bevan, Rhondda Cynon Taf Cabinet Member for Culture and Recreation said: “Thank you to everyone who contributed to both anthologies this year. I’m sure all the writers whose work is included in the collections will get a great deal of pleasure from seeing their work in print.”
Membership of all Rhondda Cynon Taf’s libraries is free and everyone living or working within the county borough is welcome to join. Find out more by visiting www.rhondda-cynon-taff.gov.uk/libraries
