Interactive Theatre for Young Children in Blackwood

attf01cbBlackwood Miners’ Institute is hosting an interactive, giggle-making introductory experience to theatre when CURIOUS will be performed on 18th & 19th March. Each performance will be followed by a free workshop with Groundwork Caerphilly.

Curious is playfully imaginative and curiously inquisitive. Journey into a world where kitchen meets the garden, where pots and pans get mischievously mixed up with planters and pails.

Curious is a spirited play for the very, very young. Explore everyday objects in an interactive environment. The performance concludes by inviting the children to venture onto the stage to dig, delve and rummage in the soft, moist soil.

Following the performance, we will be offering even more interactive fun! Groundwork Caerphilly will hold free workshops where children will be planting seeds and taking away a little pot of something which will hopefully inspire the next generation of horticulturalists!

WARNING: Little hands will get mucky

Curious is an intimate, light-hearted play for under 3’s re-uniting award-winning theatre director Sarah Argent and performer Marleen Vermeulen following their highly acclaimed touring production Circles in the Sand.

Curious will be performed at Blackwood Miners’ Institute on 18th & 19th March at 10.00am, 11.30am and 1.30pm. Tickets cost just £6.00 (group rates are available) and can be bought from the box office on 01495 227206 or online at www.blackwoodminersinstitute.com.
