A Welsh and German company have joined forces to offer a renewable energy package designed to help Wales, UK and Ireland meets its carbon reduction targets.
Cardiff based Tremorfa Managed Services (TMS), which has expertise in electrical and mechanical installations, has teamed up with Parity Solar of Germany to install and maintain solar Photovoltaic installations which they design and manufacture.
The collaborative agreement signed this week gives Tremorfa the exclusive rights to supply and install Parity panels in the UK.
Steve Eades (Operations Director) of TMS said the agreement, worth at least £1million in the first year, would enable them to expand with the potential to create new high quality employment opportunities.
Parity Solar supplies the very latest in high quality photovoltaic products and services to the solar energy market worldwide from strategically placed regional headquarters in Germany, the US and China.
From large-scale power plants to very modest rooftop and off-grid installations, Parity Solar’s international team of professionals will work with Tremorfa’s customers to design, manufacture and supply the most efficient and cost-effective photovoltaic solutions.
Tremorfa will supply all the associated mounting systems, inverters and other electrical devices required for a clean, green energy system.
Mr. Eades said the company is well placed to offer a cost effective renewable energy package to the public and private sector though this relationship with Parity Solar and an existing agreement with Kingspan Solar Thermal, which manufactures Thermomax solar thermal vacuum tubes at their Blackwood base.
The joint venture with Kingspan to supply and install solar panel products to new build projects or retrofit on existing buildings is now bidding for other public sector contracts.
Ieuan Wyn Jones, Minister for the Economy and Transport, said the collaborative projects initiated by Tremorfa with national and international companies had the potential to create green jobs.
“The Assembly Government’s Green Jobs Strategy is an important component in the Economic Recovery Programme. We want to strengthen the low carbon energy sector in Wales and ensure businesses maximise opportunities for growth and increase.”
Mr Eades said support from the Welsh Assembly Government had helped the company to develop and expand its market offering and add value through working collaboratively with other companies and establishing strong supply chains.
“We are keen to support the drive to significantly lower carbon emissions and make Wales a leading force in renewable technology worldwide. The support of the Assembly Government has been invaluable and we now have a rare opportunity to make a considerable impact.
“We are now looking at the potential to supply to a number of major regeneration and development projects under way in Wales. Our alliance with Parity Solar GmbH also clearly shows the benefits of partnership as we are to able to offer a highly competitive package and are now in a position to bid for more low carbon sector contracts and supply organisations that fall within the Low Carbon Building Program.”
