Residents from Caerphilly, New Tredegar and surrounding areas are being encouraged to get involved in a brand new campaign.
As part of the Safer Caerphilly Community Safety Partnership’s new ‘It’s Payback Time!’ campaign, residents are encouraged to become involved in the Community Payback initiative by putting forward suggestions for projects that could benefit from the scheme.
The first in a series of community roadshows will take place on Friday (4th June) at White Rose Resource Centre, New Tredegar from 11am until 4pm.
The second community roadshow will take place on Monday 7th June at Morrison’s in Caerphilly from 11am until 4pm.
Residents are encouraged to come along and put forward their suggestions for projects that offenders on Community Payback orders could take part in.
This could include graffiti removal, litter picking, undergrowth clearance, community centre painting and much more.
Offenders carrying out Community Payback must wear bright orange high visibility jackets with ‘Community Payback’ emblazoned across the back. The jackets help ensure that the offenders are highly visible out in the community, and help ensure that justice is being seen to be done.
To suggest a local project that could benefit from Community Payback, please call 01633 822 007 or visit the Safer CCB website.
