An annual report that lays down Wrexham County Borough Council’s top priorities is now available to the public.
If you want to know where the Council will be spending your money over the next three years then the document on www.wrexham.gov.uk/councilplan will help provide a clear insight into the areas identified. The report also gives details on how the Council has performed over the past twelve months.
A summary of the council plan will also be available at the end of November in the next edition of Connect – Wrexham’s magazine for residents.
Council services cover a wide range of topics and members of the public may come into contact with many of them without even realising it.
Services from keeping streets clean and tidy, emptying bins from homes and businesses, schools, libraries, youth clubs, social care support for the young and old, road safety and registrar services are just some of those provided by Wrexham County Borough Council.
In order to improve performance the Council takes into account the views of the public as well as gathering information from a range of sources including partner organisations, demography and local councillors.
Leader of Wrexham County Borough Council, Cllr Aled Roberts said: “In recent years the Council has focussed its attention on several key areas. However, it was felt that turning our attention to three specific areas of carbon emissions, improved education and better skills for employment and affordable housing would enable us to strive for significant change over the next three years.
“It is important that local people know and understand our reasons for targeting specific services for improvement, whilst reassuring them that other services will still be maintained alongside these priorities.”
