Mold Leisure Centre will be hosting a One Mile Walk this Sunday 25 September at 9.30am, as part of ITV’s Walk4Life Day.
The purpose of this free family event, which is open to everyone, is to celebrate walking and its benefits to our health.
The Mold event has been organised by Craige Bowles, Physical Activity Activator for Flintshire County Council’s Sport Development team, working with Katrina Day, Flintshire’s Walking Development Officer, and volunteer walk leaders fromTroedio Clwyd Walks.
Registration is between 9am and 9.30am, and, after the walk, tea, coffee and juice will be available in the Sports Hall at the Leisure Centre.
Following the walk, there will also be a free family Zumba session at 10.15am in the Sports Hall. Free Nordic Walking taster sessions will also be available at the centre, from 10.15am. Come and try this great new technique; using Nordic Walking poles you will burn extra calories, improve posture, use 95% of your muscles and have fun at the same time.
