The James Clode Band (the JCB) are an eight piece contemporary folk rock band based in Cardiff. They have already achieved success on the Cardiff music circuit and have just released their debut single.
James told us:
“I attended a lot of open mic nights in and around Cardiff for 3 years until one evening I attended an evening at the Rumney Folk Club where I came across the local house band that played there regularly.
“One cheeky email later and I was sat at a kitchen table with 7 out of the 8 band members rehearsing two of my songs to perform at the next folk night.
“3-4 months later we signed Xenia on violin to make it 8. ”
One of their singers, Elaine Morgan has even represented France in the Eurovision song contest along side Dan ar Braz back in the early 90’s.
JCB have just released their single “wait for you” on itunes/amazon, along with a music video today (Saturday 15) and their new album will be out on 1st April.
They will also be performing at the following events:
- Saturday AM February 22nd- They appear on Radio Cardiff soulful saturday breakfast on radio cardiff 9:30am
- Saturday PM February 22nd – The Rockers Reunion, Gower Pub , Cardiff
- Friday 14th March 6pm- Wales Millenium Centre (Glanfa Stage)
- Sunday April 27th – The Brewhouse, Cardiff.
