Jenny Willott, Liberal Democrat MP for Cardiff Central, is supporting Breast Cancer Campaign as it launches its ‘Spread the word’ campaign highlighting that there are still too many people dying from breast cancer in the UK.
Every year 12,000 women die from the disease and thousands of people live with secondary breast cancer, when the cancer has spread from the breast to other parts of the body, for which there is often no cure.
Jenny Willott MP has shown her support by tweeting a picture of herself holding a ‘Spread the word’ message.
Commenting, Jenny Willott MP, said:
“Breast cancer remains the most common cancer in the UK and unfortunately we all know someone who has been affected.
“Breast Cancer Campaign fund world-class breast cancer research projects and I am delighted to support their ‘Spread the word’ campaign to ensure the fight against breast cancer continues.
“Social media is a great way to highlight this issue and you can also ‘Spread the Word’ by sharing a photo or message on Facebook or Twitter including #spreadtheword and @BCCampaign.”
