Jenny Willott, Liberal Democrat MP for Cardiff Central, today welcomed the opening of the 4th Cardiff Foodbank Centre at the Maelfa Shopping Centre in Llanedeyrn. The new Foodbank Centre will be open on Wednesdays 9.30-11.30 am and Fridays 12.00-2.00pm.Jenny attended the official opening and is pleased to lend her support to the project.
The Cardiff Foodbank helps and supports those suffering financial hardship, who are unable to feed themselves or their families.
Jenny commented:
“The Cardiff Foodbank is a great initiative, offering practical help to those experiencing financial hardship. I have been a strong supporter of the project since it first started in Cardiff and am pleased to see it expanding with the opening of the 4th centre today. The Foodbank is a real benefit to my constituents and I would encourage everyone to donate to it if they are able to, on one of the food collection days which are held across Cardiff.”
