The networking organisation Network She held its ‘Oscar’ style celebration recently at the Crowne Plaza in Chester. Some 270 business people from North Wales and the North West attended the gala event.
Three local businesses were finalists in the category for ‘Anglesey & Gwynedd Business Woman of the Year 2010’ Diane Roberts of Wedding Belles, Lynsey Hackett of L29 Creative Graphic Design Ltd and Jo Quinney of Q Marketing & PR Ltd. The winner was Jo Quinney a public relations specialist who works with businesses locally to build business growth and customer awareness, “Celebrating women in business is essential to encourage collaboration and businesses growth,” said Jo.
Network She is designed to meet the needs of women in business and those aspiring to go into business. The group has recently expanded into the South of England and Yorkshire. “We get together socially, to learn and network, Network She means business and is great for business,” said Jo.
The award for ‘Anglesey & Gwynedd Business Woman of the Year 2010’ was sponsored by Eifion Williams and Lee Iggulden from Welshot Imaging Photographic Academy. “We had a fantastic evening and were blown away by the response and commitment from sponsors so we will be back next year and are starting to plan 2011,” says Ruth Lloyd-Williams founding Director of Network She.
