The new housing organisation that will take over the ownership and management of Gwynedd Council’s homes later this year is already boosting employment opportunities in the county ahead of its official launch.
Advertisements are appearing this week for the first jobs created by Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd.
Positions range from a career-starting level right up to director level.
These posts are in addition to the Council’s repairs and housing service staff who will transfer to the new organisation with their terms and conditions protected.
Chief Executive of Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd, Ffrancon Williams, said: “Tenants have told us that job creation and apprenticeships are a really important element of the transfer.
”We are delighted that we are already advertising for people to join us, particularly under the current economic climate with quality jobs much needed in Gwynedd.”
“These jobs are only the beginning. CCG has to deliver a £136 million improvement programme in its first five years and we need the people to help us achieve that.”
Jobs are being advertised in local newspapers and in the housing trade press.
