Powys residents can get a free sports voucher for joining their local library.
The promotion, which lasts until January 30, is part of a campaign which is encouraging people in Wales to do something new and discover their local library.
Anyone taking-up membership of a Powys County Council library between January 20-30, 2011 will receive a voucher for free weekend use of the squash, badminton, soft tennis, racket ball, indoor tennis and table tennis facilities at a Powys County Council leisure centre.
Eligible membership forms are available at all Powys leisure and sports centres. To collect your voucher, simply take your completed form and proof of address to your local library.
Kay Thomas from Powys County Council’s Library Service, said: “The New Year is a great time to learn a new skill or to take some time out from our busy lives. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this national celebration.”
The campaign is supported by the Welsh Assembly Government through the Libraries for Life programme and is part of an all Wales festival and celebration of libraries.
