One of the UK’s fastest growing retailers is opening a new Wrexham store this weekend.
A bright orange games Hummer and a Lara Croft lookalike will be in town to mark the arrival of Grainger Games at the Eagles Meadow shopping centre on Saturday and Sunday (September 24 and 25).
The eye-catching Hummer will be parked up close to the new store and in the boot of the distinctive US made vehicle, favoured by Hollywood stars such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, shoppers will find a large plasma TV, various games consoles and a huge selection of games to try out.
The lookalike for the female video game adventurer, played on the big screen by Angelina Jolie, will be handing out freebies and balloons and everyone who makes a purchase on the day will be in with a chance of winning a Nintendo 3DS.
Grainger Games is the UK’s leading independent retailer of new and pre-owned video games, consoles, DVDs and Blu-ray. The company started life in 1997 as a small stall in the famous Grainger Market in the heart of Newcastle and has since gone from strength to strength. The Wrexham addition will be the company’s 67th store opening.
Phil Moore, Grainger Games sale director, commented on the company’s latest opening at the Eagles Meadow shopping centre and said; “We feel that our great price, great service and great value will be appreciated by our new customers in Wrexham and we are confident that our new store will be another successful branch of Grainger Games.
