Last big save The Globe event

The Globe, have told us:

“With all the kind donations we have received in the past few weeks we’re almost there. But we still have a little bit more to go, so we’re gonna throw a HUGE party with lots of our favourite bands and some great tunes to go with it.

“This party has just 1 aim. To make as much cash as possible to go towards our soundproofing work that is pencilled in for March 1st.

“The Globe is Cardiff’s premier music venues and if it was to go because of the one complainant it really would be a travesty. So we’re inviting you all to come show your support and get behind this great project.

“Remember we MUST drink the bar dry. Builders come on site following week and we don’t want them pilfering anything”

£4 all day but any extra donations greatly appreciated

All bands kindly giving up their time & playing for free.

The full line up is now confirmed for Sunday 21st Feb.

J Alexander & The Blues Devils:

Formerly Snatch It Back these guys are playing quality Blues throughout Wales and the West Country and receiving great reviews. Why not check them out on You Tube. J Alexander & The Blues Devils are Justin Holly on vocals and harp and ex Snatch It Back members Dave Dearnely on guitar, Paul Higgins on bass and Ian Davies on drums

Smoking Aces:
Unless you’ve been living under a rock (and not experiencing any!) for the last six months, you should all be aware that one of the hottest new-age classic rock n’ roll bands SMOKIN’ ACES have been sweeping across the south west to bring you their rifftastic, ground-shaking music!

Combining the sounds of P!NK, ACDC and The Darkness, they bring their stadium sound to every venue

Broken Vinyl Club:
There’s not many people who’d turn down a ride in a musical time machine. Imagine being able to travel back into the past and watch all your favourite bands. The Broken Vinyl Club have invented that time machine and driven it straight back to the Sixties. They’ve brought back The Beatles’ harmonies, The Stones’ swagger, The Pretty Things’ attitude and The Monkees’ personality. They’ve even had time to raid a couple of Carnaby Street clothes shops and nick Keith Moon’s drum kit

Gareth Pearson:
Gareth Pearson is no average guitar player. He is in fact a living record of what can be achieved with an applied mind and a great passion for pursing what it is you love doing. Having only just begun playing the instrument in recent times, he has developed a distinctive style and execution to his playing that has earned him the greatest of accolades from world renowned players. In less than five years he has grown from a relatively unknown guitar appreciator to a fully fledged professional who now performs in many parts of the world.
