Information from School Transport service:
Most schools in Denbighshire plan to open today (Tuesday 12 January 2010).  In the event of bad weather in this morning, it will be the contractor’s decision whether the transport service will operate.

This will depend upon the conditions at the time, the forecast up to 9am, the forecasts for the remainder of the day and the location of the route and conditions at the school/college.

If bad weather prevents school transport from operating in the morning, no return service will operate in the afternoon even if the weather improves.

In the event of the morning journey to the school/facility being cancelled by the operator on the grounds of bad weather, the operator will not normally be responsible for conveying passengers home in the afternoon.

If parents decide to take children to school themselves in the event of bad weather, they will be responsible for getting them home again at the end of the day, or earlier if it becomes necessary due to worsening weather conditions.
