Tomorrow (Sunday 22 June) sees the inaugural Llantarnam Poetry and Music Festival at St Michael’s Church, Llantarnam.
We are promised an afternoon of words and music with guest speakers including Boyd Clack. Refreshments are available all afternoon and there’s always The Greenhouse pub next door.
Tickets are £5 and entry is free for children. The doors open at 2:00pm and the event is planned to close at 6:00pm.
A spokesman told us:
“The festival aims to promote literacy and art in the town. A competition was run in the local schools to encourage children to write and we are trying to raise some funds to support St Michael’s Church which is in danger of being closed by the Church in Wales.”
