Libraries across Swansea are on the lookout for people with creative minds.
Staff are asking people to either submit a poem, create a work of art or perform a play that would inspire others to make a trip to their local library.
The competition is taking place across Wales and cash prizes between £50 and £500 are up for grabs.
Anyone can enter and the categories include individuals, primary schools, secondary schools, voluntary organisations, community organisations and students in further or higher education.
People have until December 1 to get their entries in.
Steve Hardman, Swansea Council’s Head of Library Services, said: “If you haven’t visited a library recently then this is a great opportunity to rediscover your local library and showcase your creative talents at the same time.
“I’m hoping this competition will really inspire the local community to produce a variety of works that we will be proud to exhibit and use in future projects.”
Gavin and Stacey star Ruth Jones is a Welsh Libraries Champion.
She said: “Whatever you are into, whether it’s writing, dancing, photography, painting, animation, drama or music, then why not be inspired by your library and enter this exciting competition?
“I’m really looking forward to seeing the entries and presenting the awards and I’m sure the people of Wales with all their creative talents will take this opportunity to showcase them.”
