Science is being brought to life at an historic Swansea attraction this summer.
The achievements of The Royal Society and the Royal Institution of South Wales are celebrated in an exhibition at Swansea Museum that lasts until Sunday July 4.
Part of the fun is a special trail for younger visitors to explore and discover science in a different way.
The event is one of several ongoing at the museum that are proving popular with visitors from across the country.
Skin Deep, an exhibition that looks at the history and development of skin decorations such as tattoos, is also available to the public until Sunday July 4 and works of art and photography created by members of staff at the museum can be viewed until Sunday July 18.
Some of the other fun at Swansea’s cultural venues includes an archival exhibition at the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery that celebrates the 75th anniversary of the Welsh School of Architectural Glass now located at Swansea Metropolitan University.
The exhibition will be available for viewing until Sunday June 20 along with some works by Swansea-based artist Jonathan Anderson, the winner of the Richard and Rosemary Wakelin Purchase Award 2010.
Cllr Graham Thomas, Swansea Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Recreation and Tourism, said: “There’s always so much going on at the wonderful culture venues that Swansea has.
“A wide selection of events and exhibitions is arranged at attractions like Swansea Museum, the Glynn Vivian Art Gallery and the Dylan Thomas Centre to make sure people of all ages and interests are catered for.
“I’d urge people to have a look at current and forthcoming events to see what’s being made available.”
