It’s that time of year again when Rhyl celebrates Christmas with style. This year the countdown begins on Thursday 28th November with the official Christmas Lights Switch On party.
Step into the town centre between 4pm and 6pm and you will be immersed into a world filled with lights, music, magic and entertainment to herald the start of the festive season.
Dublin born singer-songwriter Brian McFadden will join Councillor Andy Rutherford, Rhyl Town Mayor, to light up the town.
With a fifteen year career in the music industry Brian’s passion for making music remains undiminished. From being one fifth of Westlife, Britain’s biggest boy band of all time, to replicating this success in his solo career with the number-one hit ‘Real To Me’ and global recognition with the track ‘Almost Here’.
Performing alongside Brian will be Intensi-T. As an entertainer, he has performed live in front of millions on Channel 4’s T4 with Girls Aloud star, Nicola Roberts. He has performed onstage with Ed Sheeran, opened the show for Boys 2 Men at the 02, and collaborated with hip hop duo, Rizzle Kicks. Having been featured numerous times on the home page of Youtube’s Best New Music shows, he’s intent to be at the forefront of music. Ebony Day is a brand new artist, Ebony is now on her way to success and hopes that she can inspire young people into following their dreams by showing that anything is possible with determination and hard work.
Keeping the young children entertained will be Chester Giants, balloon modellers, magicians and costumed characters.
Come along and join in the festive fun with entertainment in the High Street from 4pm onwards and finishing with a small firework finale.
The event is organised by Denbighshire Leisure and supported by Rhyl Town Council.
