North Wales Police are continuing to appeal for witness in relation to a shooting incident in Llangollen last Wednesday 19th May.
The Police are now anxious to trace anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the Chainbridge Hotel at approximately 13:00hrs and who may have seen a black Suzuki Vitara parked on the side of the B5103 road leading between the A5 road and Llantysilio Hall. This road links the A5 Llangollen to Corwen road with the A542 leading from Llangollen to the Horseshoe Pass.
Police are also appeal to anyone in the area who may have heard the sound of a gunshot or gunshots at this time to come forward.
Officers would also like to speak to two young males, described as teenagers, who were seen in the vicinity of the river weir some 200 yards upstream from the Chainbridge Hotel. These males were on mountain bikes and may hold information of benefit to the investigation.
The victim is in a stable condition in hospital and continues to assist police in the investigation.
An incident room has been set up at St Asaph with a number of detectives working on the investigation.
North Wales Police stress that incidents of this nature are rare in this area. A weapon has been recovered and is undergoing detailed forensic examination.
