ECTARC is on the lookout for organisations in North Wales that could offer a placement for foreign students as part of its flagship work experience programme.
The Leonardo Da Vinci project is run by ECTARC (European Centre for Training and Regional Co-operation) in Llangollen and provides an opportunity for graduates, young professionals and vocationally trained people to undergo a 1-3 month work placement from Europe to Wales in their own field of training and expertise.
The programme is fully sponsored by the European Union, which is why all placements are voluntary with no costs to the work placement organisation. The aim of this programme is to increase language skills, share knowledge and increase job opportunities for the students back in their home country.
There is currently a shortage of work placements with construction companies and food specialists, including laboratory, sales and marketing work.
Companies interested in offering temporary placements should contact Nia Jones, Work Placement Manager at 01978 861514 or by email: [email protected]
