Police in Bridgend are appealing for information from the public following the theft of a white Daewoo drop-sided lorry from the Village Farm Industrial Estate in Pyle.
The theft occurred sometime between 5.00pm on Tuesday 21st January and 6.30am the following morning.
Entry was gained to the premises by forcing the main gates open. The culprits then stole a part of metal low loader weighing several tons from behind the gate.
After entering the yard the lorry, registration number NX04FLH and with the name Barford on the sides and loaded with a large quantity of steel, was stolen along with four metal gates each 3.5 meters wide and a number of metal box sections.
Maesteg local policing sergeant Mathew Lewis said:
“This is a high value theft with several thousand pounds worth of metal being taken along with a valuable lorry.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area in the hours before the theft or who may have seen this vehicle, with or without its load, at any time to contact the police.”
