Celebrating the historic market and the many shops that bring tens of thousands of visitors to Pontypridd per year is being promoted in Rhondda Cynon Taff Council’s latest advertising campaign to remind people of all the town has to offer.
Love Shopping – Love Ponty is the fifth and final marketing project designed by the Council as part of the regeneration and promotion of Pontypridd town centre.
The campaign, which has already released the message Love Music – Love Ponty, Love Outdoors – Love Ponty, Love History – Love Ponty and Love Eating Out – Love Ponty, was launched in July.
The Love Shopping – Love Ponty campaign will run throughout November as Christmas approaches and traders in the town welcome even more visitors into their stores.
The Council’s marketing campaign was launched alongside a new website, which can be found at www.loveponty.com and is designed to attract more shoppers and visitors to the famous town.
To date over sixty traders have submitted their information for inclusion in the site. Traders are being encouraged to send the name of their business, address, telephone number and any website address, to: [email protected] for inclusion.
Rhondda Cynon Taff Council’s Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Housing Councillor Paul Cannon explained: “Pontypridd is known for its shops and particularly its indoor market and twice-weekly outdoor markets which attract visitors from far and wide.
“More and more people are realizing this and through the Pontypridd marketing campaign we are confident even more residents and visitors to the county borough will take advantage of the wide variety of goods and shopping facilities on offer.”
