Kath and Gareth Williams from Flint have been holding a ‘Mad 12 hour Party’ at Christmas time for friends, and in doing so raising funds for charity.
This year the party raised £50 for Flint RNLI, Gareth recently celebrated his 60th birthday at the golf club, donations in lieu of presents raised over £300, which was also donated to the volunteers at Flint.
Kath commented we have always supported good causes, and we are happy to support the volunteers at Flint lifeboat station, in the last 10 years we have also raised a lot of money for the Duillian Barre charity, which included my 50th & 60th birthday celebration.
Alan Forrester Volunteer lifeboat operations manager at Flint said we are really grateful to Kath & Gareth for their help & support, donations such as these help to keep us afloat here in Flint, in 2010 we have had 24 calls and saved three lives.
