At approximately 01:40am today (Wednesday 7 July) police were called to an address in Llaneilian Road, Colwyn Bay.
Upon their arrival the body of a 61-year-old man was found within the house.
A 19-year-old man, who was living at the house, was arrested at the location on suspicion of murder and is currently detained at St Asaph Police Station.
A number of witnesses are assisting the police with their enquiries. A post mortem examination will be conducted this morning.
North Wales Police are not releasing any further details at present.
