Bank holiday Monday (August 31st) at Margam Country Park promises to be spectacular.
The park will host the ‘Wild Wales Bushcraft and Environment Day‘ – a fun activity event where families can come along and discover the great outdoors.
“It will be a chance to learn something a little different about their environment,” says Park Manager Michael Wynne.
The wonder of the wilderness will be the backdrop for ‘have a go’ bushcraft activities run with the help of ‘Dryad Bushcraft’
Trade stands, interesting talks about the environment, walks and stalls will all tempt visitors to come and enjoy a family fun event.
Taking part in the day is Swansea based ‘Undercurrents‘ who will be demonstrating their Solar Powered Micro Cinema called ‘The Sol Cinema‘.
They will be running bushcraft videos and hosting free workshops teaching media skills such as camera work, sound recording and interviewing for 11-19 year olds.
Margam Park is one of ‘Undercurrents’ venues for a series of workshops for young people across Wales.
Michael Wynne, added, “This is the first year for this popular event which we hope will grow to be an annual show.”
