Following two sell outs in the last two months, the line up for the next ‘Stute Comedy Night has been announced.
Friday 13th May at 8pm will see three top comedians from the UK comedy circuit head to Blackwood for an evening of laughs, entertainment and general tomfoolery. So why not grab some mates and head along to the funniest show in town?
Opening the show is Mrs Barbara Nice, who is the comedy creation of Janice Connolly. Barbara is your average Stockport housewife, who has given up the domestic bliss of Tupperware and Pound Stretcher shops for the unpredictability of the comedy world.
No audience is too rowdy for her to handle – she’s already raised five teenagers. With the affectionate attitude of a playgroup leader at a wild Iggy Pop concert, Barbara is guaranteed to warm the heart of any audience.
Having previously supported Johnny Vegas and Peter Key, Barbara is now a circuit headline act in her own right.
“…As hilarious as it is possible to get...” The Scotsman.
Closing the show is the brilliant Mundo Jazz. It is Mundo Jazz’s mission to teach us about peace, the environment, harmony and love. It is unfortunate then, that he knows absolutely nothing about anything!
He teaches his audience love and understanding will all the subtlety of a brick hitting butter, through ridiculously catchy songs, legendary one-liners and thunderously crass philosophizing.
Mundo Jazz is a superb musical and comic improviser, frequently creating songs on the spot and veering off into spontaneous chaos!
“…Very very very funny…” The Daily Express.
Compering the evening will be the hilarious John Robins, whose act skilfully weaves narrative, improvisation and punchy gags in his unique, self-effacing style.
John has quickly made his name as one of the most quick-witted, engaging comedians on the circuit. Always willing to expect the unexpected, John guarantees a great show for audiences and acts alike.
