Vale of Glamorgan Mayor Cllr Emlyn Williams and the Mayoress, his wife, Joan, have joined family and friends to celebrate the diamond wedding anniversary (25 March) of Barry couple Wyn and Ronwyn Thomas.
Vale of Glamorgan Mayor Cllr Emlyn Williams and the Mayoress, his wife, Joan, popped along to an ‘At Home’ to congratulate Barry couple Wyn and Ronwyn Thomas on their diamond wedding anniversary.
The Barry-born couple, who are both aged 82, have lived at Broad Street for more than 50 years. They welcomed a large number of famnily, including their five daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren, and visitors to an ‘At Home’ celebration.
Mr Thomas, who is a keen bowler and a member of the Barry Athletic club, was a driver for a number of firms for the majority of his working life, and Mrs Thomas worked in the civil service before bringing up her family.
Among the many congratulatory messages for the couple was one aired nationally by Barry-born weatherman Derek Brockway during his usual evening slot on the BBC Wales news.
