A commemorative bench has been put in place at County Hall in Mold in memory of a much loved friend and colleague, Kyle Foley, who died last summer.

Kyle worked in the finance department of the Council for over 10 years, securing his first permanent position in March 2004. The 27-year-old who lived in Holywell, started as a modern trainee in September 2002, working in benefits and latterly in pensions.

Funds for the memorial bench for Kyle have been raised by friends and colleagues from various events including a dress down day, cake sale and raffle.

Kerry Feather, Head of Finance at Flintshire County Council led a tribute for Kyle in a short ceremony for family, friends and co-workers to unveil the bench that has been placed on the hill opposite the chimney entrance of County Hall.

Kerry Feather said:

“ Kyle was a joy to work with, always enthusiastic and much admired for being so positive despite the challenges he faced. He is greatly missed but will continue to be a true inspiration to us all. “
