Meredith to Hold First Town Hall Meeting

Conservative hopeful, Owen Meredith, will this week be holding his first ‘town hall’ meeting; giving voters in Caerphilly the opportunity to grill him on his policies raise their concerns about local issues.

In the first of three planned meetings, Mr Meredith will be taking questions at Rudry Parish Hall on Thursday 10th February from 7pm.

Commenting on his decision to hold public meetings in the run up to the election, Owen said:

“I want people to engage with these elections and come forward with their views – politics shouldn’t be a one-way street of information. I want to listen to people’s views and work together to find the solutions to local problems. By holding these meetings it gives people a real opportunity to make their voices heard and ensure that the issues they care about are at the top of the political agenda.”

He added:

“There is a real choice in this election – a change to make a positive change for Caerphilly. Please come along to raise your concerns, asks questions and meet your candidate.”

Mr Meredith will contest Caerphilly for the Welsh Conservatives, who came second in the recent General Election poll. Owen has pledged to fight a campaign that will listen and act on residents concerns, working with the community to deliver a positive change for Caerphilly.
