Michelin star celebrity chefs James Sommerin (pictured) and Martin Blunos will entertain some of Wales’ leading business figures with a gastronomic extravaganza of cooking demonstrations at Monmouthshire’s biggest ever business conference next month (June).
back 2 business week hits venues across Monmouthshire on June 6th and will comprise four days of agenda-setting activity and events aimed at boosting local business and entrepreneurship.
James Sommerin, Executive Head Chef at Michelin star The Crown at Whitebrook, near Monmouth and the three AA rosette Crown at Celtic Manor will be joined by celebrity chef colleague Martin Blunos, Executive Head Chef at the recently opened two AA rosette Crown Social at The Parc in Cardiff.
The two Crown Hotels and Restaurants chefs will give a series of Michelin starred demonstrations to conference delegates, local entrepreneurs and world renowned business leaders during back 2 business week.
Monmouthshire-based Crown Hotel and Restaurants and Microsoft are overall sponsors of back 2 business week.
Gwent man James Sommerin said: “Monmouthshire has an abundance of fantastic, high quality produce much of which I use at the Crown restaurants. It will be a great pleasure for Martin and I to demonstrate how these superlative, world class ingredients are used in our cooking to create award winning food at the internationally renowned Crown restaurants.”
Kellie Beirne, Monmouthshire County Council’s Chief Officer for Regeneration & Culture organised the event.
She said: “We’re delighted that James and Martin have agreed to support back 2 business week by staging chef’s demonstrations.
“Over the four days of back 2 business week there will be a chance to discover how business is making the most of opportunities in the technology, renewable energy, and tourism sectors, as well as practical events aimed at supporting start-ups, existing businesses, and young entrepreneurs.”
