Clwyd West AM Darren Millar has called for urgent action to address a dangerous road junction in Towyn.
The busy Gors Road/Kinmel Way junction, which has poor visibility for motorists, has been the scene of a number of accidents over the years.
Darren met with Cllr William Knightly, Conwy County Borough Councillor for Towyn, and the local authority Highways Department today to discuss the issue. Following the meeting Darren said:
‘This junction is dangerous and it is just a matter of time before there is a fatality.
‘Extra signage and a mirror to improve visibility have helped, but these are not perfect solutions.
‘The Highways Department has agreed to look at some options for making the junction safer and will report back to me when these have been fully considered.’
Cllr William Knightly said:
‘Local residents are regularly in touch regarding this junction and I’m working closely with Darren and the Highways Department to resolve safety issues there once and for all.’
