Commenting on reports that Ed Miliband has defended Labour’s management of the Welsh NHS, Darren Millar AM, Shadow Minister for Health, said:
“Ed Miliband is defending the indefensible.
“Labour in Wales has cut the Welsh NHS by over £800million in real terms over five years and frontline services and waiting lists are getting worse as a result.
“In Wales’ Labour-run NHS, patients are routinely waiting over four hours to be seen in A&E, ambulance response time targets are not being met and cancer patients are denied access to life-extending treatments readily available in other parts of the UK.
“For patients across Wales, this is the reality of a Labour Government and should be a warning to anyone in the UK considering supporting Miliband’s party.”
