Welsh Conservatives have condemned the Assembly Government’s decision to spend almost £200k on plants for government offices.
Figures obtained by Shadow Local Government Minister Darren Millar AM detail that the Assembly Government spent £195,000 in five years on maintaining plants sited in WAG administrative offices.
Commenting on the figures, Mr Millar said:
“To fritter away almost £200,000 on plants when households across Wales are struggling to pay their bills and public services are facing big cuts is totally unacceptable.
“Labour and Plaid Ministers need to get a grip on this sort of expenditure and ensure that frontline services are protected.
“Taxpayers deserve to know that their hard-earned cash is not being wasted.
“The Welsh Assembly Government should be cultivating improved public services, not plants.”
