A man who had been reported missing from his home in Caernarfon on Friday evening (26th March) was found within two hours of the police being called.
At 16:35 police received a report that a man had left his home address and was threatening to self-harm.
Officers were immediately deployed and a search was carried out in the immediate area which involved local police officers, PCSO’s and the force helicopter.
An off-duty police officer then contacted officers to say he had seen a man of a similar description walking near to Eryri Park. The man was located just under two hours following the initial call and was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd in Bangor by ambulance.
“This operation was a good example of excellent teamwork by everybody involved,” said District Inspector, Wyn Lane.
“Thankfully the man was found and was taken to hospital for treatment and I would like to thank the team for their work.”
