Beautiful and unique crafts will be on sale at Llantrisant’s Model House, which hosts its Christmas extravaganza this month.
Ceramics, glass, jewellery, stained glass, knitware, felt, cards, gift sets and more made by 10 craftspeople from across South Wales will be on sale on Saturday, November 27 from 10am-5pm at the art and crafts centre in the Bull Ring, Llantrisant.
Artists showing their work include Rhondda-based Melissa Warren and Welsh jeweller Anne Morgan.
The Model House re-opened its doors to the public in February this year following major restructuring. Tenants of the award-winning centre worked closely with members of Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Corporate Estates Team along with Planning & Regeneration to find a way forward for the business.
Resident potter Christine Gittins said: “We are working together to get the Model House back on the map. We look forward to seeing visitors to the centre on November 27.”
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Deputy Leader, Councillor Anthony Christopher, said: “The Model House is a unique place within our county borough. It is economically important to the whole of historic Llantrisant, attracting visitors on a regular basis, and is a hive of creativity.
“We will continue to work with tenants to help secure the long-term future of the building and hope the Christmas extravaganza is a great success.”
