Trains, planes and automobiles – all in miniature form – will go on show at the Welsh Model Show at Rhondda Fach Sports Centre, East Street, Tylorstown, on Saturday and Sunday, January 9 and 10, 2010.
On display at the biggest show of its kind in Wales will be the 56-foot long Western View 0 Gauge model railway on its first showing in Wales, as well as a full-size GB rally car, over 15 other model railways, nearly 50 model boats, radio controlled vehicles, military modelling and much more. There will also be around 30 trade stands for model-makers, young and old, to visit.
All are welcome to the show from 10.30am-5pm on Saturday and 10am-4.30pm on Sunday. Admission is £5 for adults, £4 for children/senior citizens and £14 for families (Two adults and two children). The sports centre has disabled access and refreshments will be available during the weekend.
Rhondda Cynon Taf Cabinet Member for Culture and Recreation, Councillor Robert Bevan, said: “The Model Show brings visitors from all over Wales and beyond to the Rhondda. We look forward to welcoming model enthusiasts to Rhondda Cynon Taf in 2010.”
