A group of modern trainees from Flintshire County Council have been praised for helping a vulnerable Flintshire resident during the severe weather.
Katrina Shankar, Nathan Wolfe, Richard Dolphin and Tanya Field, who are all learning office skills, were taken by Councillor Bernie Attridge to clear large quantities of snow away from the house of disabled resident in Rhosesmor so he could receive treatment.
Councillor Attridge said: “I’d like to thank the young people for their help. They are a credit to the Council and I would say this was above and beyond the call of duty and they all worked so hard to clear the snow.”
Susan Lewis, Director of Community Services, said: “I’d like to thank this group and all our staff who are working hard in the difficult weather. It’s great to hear that the modern trainees were able to make such a difference for someone in difficulties.”
