The Moelfre RNLI Lifeboat station recently received a cheque for £312 from a group of friends who stay at the Parciau Caravan Park, Marianglas.
The money was raised following an evening of fund raising events, held at the Breeze Hill hotel in Benllech.
The cheque was handed over to Moelfre Lifeboat Coxswain Anthony Barclay, who gave the group a guided tour of the Moelfre Lifeboat Station and they were very impressed by what they saw.
Mrs Quinn from Stoneycroft, Liverpool who organised the event said: “We are group of friends who have been keen supporters of the RNLI for many years, and we have a keen interest in the Moelfre Lifeboat station. We have made several donations in the past to help support the vital lifesaving work carried out by the busy Lifeboat crews at Moelfre.”
Moelfre RNLI Lifeboat Station operations manager Rod Pace said: “As always we are very grateful to Mrs Quinn and her friends for their continued support and generosity. As a charity, the RNLI really does value every penny raised by members of the public. The money will go towards training the Volunteer Lifeboat crews at Moelfre to continue saving lives at sea.”
