Monmouthshire County Council is to hold an open evening for people looking for employment in a position that will support people to help them live independent lives.
The council aims to recruit a number of Enablement Assistants (Short Term Care and Support Team) and the open evening – to be held at Monmouth’s Monnow Vale Health and Social Care Facility on Thursday, 14th August – will allow people interested in these posts to find out more, meet the team of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers and enablement assistants and ask questions.
The open evening will be split into two sessions. The first session will take place between 5pm and 6.30pm to accommodate local people while the second will run from 7pm to 8pm for those living further afield.
The council is looking for applicants who wish to make a positive contribution in a dynamic team with a genuine interest in the well-being of others. The posts will be based in Monmouth and will involve travel in the local area. Hours are negotiable, and weekend enhancements are available. Full training will be provided in all aspects of the role and previous caring support experience is not necessary.
