Monmouthshire’s libraries Employ Survey to Engage with Public

MonmouthshireVisitors to Monmouthshire’s libraries during the week beginning Monday 12th May will have the opportunity to say what they think and suggest ways their library can be improved. The Public Library Service Survey will take only a few moments to complete.

Libraries offer a wide range of free services for everyone in Monmouthshire.  They offer the ability to read the latest bestsellers, rediscover old favourites or ask knowledgeable staff what to read next.

Libraries hold free sessions offering help with searching for employment and researching family trees while the introductory computer courses are very popular with older people.  Most libraries host reading groups while “knit and natter” and board game groups also go down well.

In addition, customers can access the free online service, available 24/7, to download e-books, audio books and magazines.

The Public Library User Survey is a national model for surveying users of public libraries and is carried out every three years.   Monmouthshire Libraries recently used the Public Library User Survey to discover what children thought of the library service and results will be published soon. Now libraries want to hear what adult customers think.
