More kerbside collection leads to withdrawal of recycling banks

An increasing number of people participating in weekly kerbside collection schemes has led Monmouthshire County Council to withdraw five little-used Tetra Pac carton recycling banks.

The carton recycling banks earmarked for removal are at;

Withy Close, Magor,
Queenshill Garages, Dingestow,
Pandy Village Hall,
Little Mill Village Hall
Fairfield car park, Abergavenny
and will be removed in February.  Residents can continue to recycle food and drinks cartons in the red bags provided, along with paper and card.

Waste Strategy and Resources Manager, Rachel Jowitt said: “We are pleased that more and more residents participate in our kerbside recycling schemes and their efforts are helping Monmouthshire exceed the Welsh Government’s recycling targets.  As a council we are committed to providing convenient and efficient recycling services now and in the future”.
