Morgan looks forward to England clash

Wales U20 outside-half Matthew Morgan can’t wait to get his international season underway when his side takes on England at Parc y Scarlets today (Saturday, 6.30pm).

The Ospreys and Swansea pivot believes Wales can do well in their Six Nations opener – if they stick to their own game plan.

After the Wales team run at Parc y Scarlets on Friday afternoon he said, “I’m really looking forward to this big match now.

“England will be a very tough opponent but we’ve had a good build-up and if we stick to our plan we have a chance of beating them.

“I played against a lot of the England side last year for Wales U18 at Swansea. We did well at the start but lost significantly in the end. Hopefully we can do better this year.

“England will be bigger than us but we will have to look to get around them if we want to get off to a winning start.

“Parc y Scarlets is a great ground to be playing at. I played there for Swansea before Christmas, the pitch is top class and it’s a big stadium so it will be great to get a good crowd behind us to give the boys a boost. A win would give us some good momentum for the rest of the tournament.”
