Ely neighbourhood policing team seized 7 motorbikes as part of an operation to target off road motorcycle annoyance.
The use of off road bikes in and around the Ely area was highlighted as a PACT priority by local residents. The operation, organised by PCSO Craig Williams was a joint operation in partnership with Cardiff Council. 7 bikes were taken into police possession and one section 59 warning for anti-social use of a vehicle was issued.
PCSO Craig William said, “There has been a problem with the use of off road vehicles and associated anti-social behaviour in the Ely are for some time. 7 of these bikes are no longer on the road – and the operation should send out a clear message to other bike owners about using their vehicles appropriately.”
