Clwyd West MP, David Jones, is to hold discussions with Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board Chief Executive, Mary Burrows, over reports that up to 15 of the 31 beds at Ruthin Hospital are to be closed over the winter months.
David Jones said:
“The announcement of the proposed bed closures came without prior warning. At first, it was indicated that only 6 beds were to be closed, but I now understand that as many as 15 beds have been earmarked for closure.
“This is naturally the cause of considerable concern in Ruthin and I therefore intend to raise the issue directly with Mrs Burrows later this week.”
