A Series of events in and around Wrexham town centre have won the backing of the town’s MP.
This weekend will see the second annual Wrexfest weekend – with events on Llwyn Isaf, at Un Deg Un and at the Saith Seren pub.
Wrexfest, organised by the Change Wrexham for Our Future group, runs on the 1st and 2nd of August, with events on Llwyn Isaf between 11am and 7pm and events at the two other venues running from 6pm until late.
Following Wrexfest, Wrexham’s Queens’ Square hosts Play Day 2014 on Wednesday, August 6 between noon and 4pm. The event highlights the need for children to have an opportunity to play in their everyday lives and is a free, open access event for all ages.
Mr Lucas said: “It’s great news that Wrexfest has returned for a second year and is offering all kinds of entertainment – and, in the same spirit, it is brilliant to see Play Day 2014 taking place.
“We need to make sure Wrexham offers something different – for people of all ages – and I’m delighted the people of Wrexham have pulled together to get the events happening.”
